Walkthrough To Life; Page 178
((I decided there was a disappointing lack of a walkthrough to Life, but fortunately I've found one! Hope this helps.))
Personality Plugin #3 – Religion
If you are an inhabitant of a region using the ‘Urbanisation’ expansion pack then it is likely that you will not be born into a religion. Though we recommend to set your religion to ‘Agnostic’ – which is currently the default setting – this will leave you with a very low chance of unlocking the bonus endgame feature ‘Afterlife’. The general idea of ‘Religion’ is that you choose the correct religion to follow and are rewarded with the final section of the game (said to have a commendable lifespan).
Though the game covers the pros and cons well there are a few points we should highlight:
Christianity – This religion has had several bugs in it for some time now and is beginning to mix its code with the agnostic traits. As such members of this religion don’t usually have to be very Orthodox, though the Orthodox rating tends to reset in times of crisis and may lead to excessive praying.
Islam – Be careful when selecting this religion, as the latest Anti-Terrorism patch (Version 9.11) has led to some conflicts between the new data and this religion. As such, members of other faiths may be offensive or less respectful than your stats should usually give.
Paganism – Advised against. Recent patches and upgrades mean ritual sacrifices are generally frowned upon.
Subsection – Afterlife
The hallowed and much-rumoured bonus level hides itself away at the end of the game, and is only open to those choosing the correct religion. However, its existence is merely touted at – so the benefits have to be weighed against the impact religion may have on your progression through the game. Lifespan of the bonus level is supposed to be impressively long, but is allegedly very repetitive.
